Here is the second half of my Sketchbook Project. I hope you enjoy!
Here is the second half of my Sketchbook Project. I hope you enjoy!
Hello hello everyone! After dealing with some computer problems I finally had a chance to scan my finished sketchbook project before I had to mail it out. This is 10 of the 16 pages in the book, since tumblr doesn’t allow you to post more than 10 images at a time. I didn’t really have a theme for my sketchbook, I just stuck with snippets from my life and things that I enjoy. Hopefully there are things that make others smile as well.
Hello hello! I know, I’ve been terrible with my updates. I started working about 3-4 weeks ago and am just now getting back in the groove of drawing and posting . This one is pretty short since I haven’t actually be doing much drawing, but the up coming deadline in May for my newest part in the Sketchbook Project has kicked me back into gear, so I’ll be posting those sketches shortly since I’ve only got 3 pages left to fill.
The first image is just a silly something I did after having “Whole New World” stuck in my head all day long.
Next is my little informational ref I did for T’Reiya, just so I could keep track mostly of her birthday to make sure the year was right for the timeline. It also got me to do research on the Vulcan calender, so her birthday is actually listed as a Vulcan month.
Then another little T’Reiya doodle, this time with her tricorder, scanning something for one thing or another.
Mermaids, I always seem to go back to them at some point. They’re just so darn fun, with the flowy underwater hair, and the tails. It was a nice warm up to try to get myself back into drawing with something a little more free flowing.
And last, is Sailor Chibi Moon from Sailor Moon. Even though I rather dislike her in the show she seems to pop up in my sketchbook from time to time. I think its the hair, just so weird and awesome.
Sadly that is all I have for you tonight. Once I finish up my Sketchbook Project I will post that WHOLE thing.

Hey Hey everyone! I know I haven’t posted in a little bit, but I with the giveaway and my job hunting I was a little busy! As always I have continued to sketch.
First up is Gryf just being his adorable self. He can’t decide if he wants to wash his tail or just play with it.
Next is just a random person I drew without a reference. She’s got some pretty sweet sunglasses!
Then is a silly little doodle that’s pretty much how I felt when I FINALLY got a job! I’d been looking for 5 months, so I was a little over the moon.
POKEMONS! I always seem to draw the Eevee evolutions when I draw Pokemon. Just the original 3, since they are the only ones I know the designs by heart.
After Pokemon is a little kitty totally chilling out on a big fluffy pillow! He looks pretty darn comfy!
This is a silly something I did for Addison. Our silly names for each other are Bunny and Lizard (don’t ask, I have no idea) So he’s a big fluffy bunny and I’m one of those super nifty frilled lizards.
Speaking of Addison, he gave me the most wonderful cold when I saw him last week. I had JUST gotten over a cold I caught from my roommates (all 4 of us ended up with it) and then Addison, who is never sick, managed to get a cold and pass it on to me.
After that there is a fun little fox girl singing and dancing! Pose ref’d from here.
Then we have a sleepy Thursday, another result from my wonderful cold.
And last, more pokemon and Gryf. This time its a Persian looking super duper adorable and Gryf who is attempting to preen his feather.
PHEW! That’s all I have for you guys today!

Here is the finished piece for the Coast City Comics first friday show! :D I decided to draw the ladies of the Original Series who I feel don’t get enough love. In order of rank we have Lt. Nyota Uhura, Nurse Christine Chapel and Yeoman Janice Rand. I had a great deal of fun with this piece, and doing semi-realistic face isn’t something I do like, ever. Rand really came out the best, I’m pretty proud of her. The show goes up tomorrow, so if you’re in the Portland area I hope that you’ll go and check out the Star Trek show! It’ll be up for the month of March! ~Bri

Hello everyone! Sorry for the delay in posting, but I have been incredibly ill for the past week or so. I managed to do a few doodles while I was sick in between my super runny nose.
First up is a little piece I did for Valentines day. I know it was yesterday, but Addison is coming down today, so we’re celebrating it today instead.
Next up is my sketch for what I’ll be doing for another show at Coast City Comics in Portland. The theme is finally STAR TREK! I decided to draw the ladies of the Original Series, Uhura, Nurse Chapel and Yeoman Rand. I haven’t figured out what to do with the lower right corner but I’ll figure something out.
After is a little something I did while I was super sick. I couldn’t breathe through my nose for days, so sleeping, drinking and eating became awkward.
Then is my Sonic character Zazz, who has popped up on here a few times in the past. She’s one of my oldest characters, I know she’s at least 10 years old.
And another super sick doodle, I spent about 4 days just wrapped up in my blanket drinking apple juice and eating crackers. It was a great time.
Last for today is, ponies! Yay! Actual fan art this time. Here we have Princess Candence and Shining Armour (© Hasbro). I did them just with colored pencils, no sketching with my regular pencil at all, so it was a fun little challenge.
That’s all I have today! Now that I’m finally feeling better I’ll be posting normally.

Alright! Post number two! This finishes off my super huge post of awesomeness.
This post starts off with…ponies! Its the last one I promise! Another little something for Addison.
The next three pages are Gryf, the cute little gryphon who I created for my Thesis project back in May 2011. I’m thinking about making another book with him about him discovering art. Hence the little doodles of him coloring and hanging up his finished drawing. I’m also toying with the idea of giving him a friend, like the little hippogriff hanging out with him. The third page is Gryf doing things that little kids do, like play on slides, make messy fingerpaintings, go swimming, hang out with their mother and take baths. I had a great deal of fun making those little doodles. It was fun to think of Gryf doing typical little kid things, I think I like the swimming one best.
And the last two are, Star Trek. Spock and T’Reiya in all their Vulcan-goodness.
I do believe that’s everything for the moment. I started a brand new sketchbook, plus signing up for the new Sketchbook Project! Yay! More doodling!

((I had written up a big massive post and apparently Tumblr ate it))
So I know its been a while guys, but over the past 2 weeks I’ve been in a big art block/ rough patch with little to no inspiration or motivation. Its all good now, so I though I should update with what I had from the past few weeks. Many of were drawn either mid January or in the past week due to my art block and what have you.
The horse study was referenced from http://xbr0kendevotion.deviantart.com/art/lying-down-stock-1-154276654
I hadn’t noticed until now just how many ponies are in this post XD I suppose its because they are fun to draw and usually cheer me up. ^_^
This is only half of what I had to post so I’ll finish up the night with the rest of my sketches!
~Bri
Hey guys, just letting you know that after being abandoned for a while my Fiverr is back. I hope you’ll go check it out. <3
Hey guys! Its been a little while since I posted from my personal sketchbook, but I had been working on my Sketchbook Project to get it done in time for the deadline. So here for you I have a sample of some of the sketches I’ve been doing over the past month or so.
First up isn’t a sketch at all. I did this little finished piece for my Thank You cards this year.
Next is a redo of a piece I was fond of for years that I created in highschool. I’d like to color this and post it again along side the original. I referenced the pose from here: http://sitara-leotastock.deviantart.com/gallery/?q=sword#/d2jeqc7
I seem to be doing more pages like this, a compilation of small doodley pieces instead of having one or two pieces that fill the page. This one is full of ponies. I did these on my 8 hour bus ride back from Christmas with my family.
The next one is a little fan art doodle for a super cute kitty named BUB. She’s pretty darn adorable, so you should go check out her page: http://lilbub.com/
Another page of doodley doodles! This time its T’Reiya. I was trying out different ways of drawing her and still trying to retain her features. Other thenn the chibi. ^_^
This big sketch is for a commission for someone in my hometown. She works in the town office and likes to display art from local artists. She wants a street in town being invaded with zombies. This is still pretty rough, I need to find better references from the street of the buildings and such.
Lastly I’ve got some childhood going on with a page full of Sonic and Tails. I went with the more 90’s style of them instead of the ‘newer’ versions since its what I grew up with. These started out as a sort of redraw of a piece I did in 94. Sonic and his strange mono-eye gave me some issues, so I’ll have to try again. Can’t forget Knuckles down at the bottom!
That is all I have for you guys today! I haven’t drawn much in the past week or so since I’ve pretty much been job hunting, filling out a million applications and driving around bothering people and places where I have dropped off applications. No luck yet, but hopefully something turns up soon.
These are the final pages in my book for the Sketchbook project! I’m really protective and possessive of my sketchbooks, so the idea of having to send one away where I might never see it again is kind of hard. But it will live forever in the safety of the Brooklyn Art Library with my previous book for the project.
I decided to end my book with pieces that reflect my fandoms/interests.
First up of course had to be Sailor Moon, more specifically Sailor Saturn! I tried something a little new with the single color line art and I have to say I rather like the result. Watercolor on copy paper still doesn’t work out all that well though XD
Next is just a little fox. Foxes were my obsession as a child (before Sailor Moon). I had tons of books about them and they were all I ever drew or talked about.
Another thing that consumed my life (and still does) is Pokemon, at least the original 151. Never really got into the other sets as much. Anyway, here we once again have Vulpix, whom I loved because he is a fox.
Last is my newest fandom, My Little Pony. I decided to go with my favorite pony, Derpy Hooves. I can’t quite explain why I like her so much, she’s just different I suppose and its something I can relate to.
That’s all I have for you guys tonight. I have a months worth of doodle in my personal sketchbook I need to take the time to scan, but job hunting has pretty much been my life since I came back from Christmas, after I recovered from my cold/flu/sinus infection joy I had for about a week.
~Bri
Hey everyone! I’ve got just a couple of finished pieces I’ve done in the past week. The first one is the finished images from my previous post. If you’re in the Portland (Maine) area you can go see them at Coast City Comics for the rest of the month in the Pokemon show! :D
The next one was a commission I got from a family friend. She liked the breast cancer piece I had done for my aunt and wanted one done for a friend of hers who had suffered from breast cancer as well. She requested the tiger and the scar on the left like her friend. The piece is pretty small, about 4x4 which made it a quick little image to do in an afternoon.
I’m still trying to recover from my cold/flu/sinus infection which has been hanging on for almost a week now. Most of the worst symptoms are gone, its mostly just lots of coughing. I’m also almost finished my Sketchbook Project, since its due in Brooklyn on the 15th. Just one last page to finish up and then I can scan it and sadly stick it in the mail.
Thanks for being awesome, and I hope everyone had a great start to the new year!
